Like you, we dream of exploring every corner of this beautiful world. But let’s face it: the way we travel today often puts unsustainable pressure on our planet. Our mission? To show that there is a way to experience the wonders of the world while leaving a positive or at least neutral impact.
Hi! We are Sparknomads
Laura
I’m a wildlife conservationist working at WWF and a passionate world explorer. Wherever I travel, I seek out ethical wildlife encounters and conservation stories that inspire me to travel more conscious. Shedding light on these topics, will hopefully create more awareness during your travels too !
Kevin
I’m an amateur photographer and wildlife enthusiast. I’ve had the amazing opportunity to work at a sea turtle rehabilitation center in Greece and help rehab vultures in Canada. I can spot the smallest creatures on night walks. Oh, and if you think you know more animal facts than I do… I dare you to prove it!

Our Story
When we graduated with degrees in Animal Conservation, we set off on our first backpacking adventure. Back then, avoiding overpriced tours was our main goal, but it quickly became a passion for discovering local cultures and nature on our own terms.
With 8+ years of combined experience in animal conservation and rehabilitation, we’ve seen firsthand the importance of ethical and sustainable tourism. Now, we are dedicated to spreading the word about sustainable and authentic travel.
Travel can still be thrilling, but also thoughtful
